Is there anyway of setting my step sons xbox so that he can no longer go online at a specific time of day, e.g. So that at 10 PM every night it will disconnect from xbox live.

I realise there is the family timer on the xbox which allows us to set how many hours a day or week he can play on the xbox but this doesn't prevent him from being on the console till the early hours of the morning as im pretty sure the timer starts again from 12:00 midnight and hence hes not getting up for school!

We use an O2 wireless router which he connects to wirelessly for his internet connection so i was wondering if there is no option on the xbox console whether there is some configurations in router or whether there is a programme I can run on a PC which will disconnect the router and hence prevent internet connection at a certain time of day?

Any help would be grateful!

Cheers Matt

ant it esyer to just take the xbox out of his room at xxxx time then he cant use it

there is a thing in the settings for parent control...im sure you can set the ammount of time etc in there.

There might be a setting in your router to disable his wireless connection. Something along the lines of his MAC address (basically a unique ID number), you the enter the settings on the router to disable wireless for this unique ID at a certain time.

Or kick the little ****ers head in.

Stopping him going online is one thing, but that won't stop him playing it offline.
Much better to remove the actual xbox as already stated in #2.
(r teach him to respect your wishes and turn it off himself at 10 - good luck with that one though)

as already has been said if its just the playing on live you want to stop take off his wireless adaptor at 10 and if its the xbox altogether then take his joypads at 10.

Buy a timed socket that switches off at a predetermed time

router settings should do it mate

Tell him to switch it off at a certain time. If he doesn't he loses it for a week.
Much better to teach him the value of your word, than the sticking plaster that you are applying.

Yup, that's the one I'd go for!
