    Xbox 360 rings of deaths

    Well, it seems my xbox won't work anymore. I've read bits and pieces on the internet and i know that there is a 3 year warranty for the rings of deaths, however I'm not sure as to what to do, as all the information seems to be for the USA.

    Also, i don't have a receipt for it, it was paid for by my ex girlfriend from the Toys'r'us deal that was going around about this time last year. Is this going to be much of a problem?

    I'd really like to know what people did when they had these problems

    how do i go about contacting them and arranging repairs? Where is the seal located? i couldn't find it

    dont the newish 360s have a date on the back of them?

    Dont panic,
    Go on the Xbox website, where they have the phone number.
    Just give them a call - they'll get you to carry out some simple diagnostic tests, and if this doesn't work, they'll arrange to collect it and fix it for you. Dont wory if you dont have the reciept, they wont ask for it. If you have used Xbox live, there'll see that you have registered it at a set date anyrway.
    It usually takes a couple of weeks to get it back, but microsoft are pretty good, and will almost certainly fix it regardless.

    well all xbox 360's are still under the 3 yr warranty as the xbox 360 was only released in dec 05. as long as the 360 was bought new and you haven't tried to open it then the seal will still be intact.

    I had no reciept for mine got it from a phone contract, and I have just sent my sons back this thursday for the rrod, call them on 0800 5871102,

    thanks for that. process was easy enough, i phoned at 5 minuts to 10 and they still picked up, which is impressive! dealt in less than 5 minutes.

    no problem, had the ring of death myself earlier in the year, but was lucky that I could take it back to the shop where I got it from.

    i've had games scratched by my xbox, can i request that they fix the problem that causes that too?

    I don't think you get your 360 back - you get another one that had been sent back and has been refurbished.... i think anyways......
