    Xbox 360/Wii/Computer - VGA/DVI/HDMI - Help!!!

I'm trying to sort out my cabling for all my consoles and computer which all sit close to each other. I have no idea which is best though or how I should be doing things so I'm after some help please!

    I want to connect:
    Xbox 360 to TV
    Wii to TV
    Computer to TV
    Computer to Monitor

Computer graphics card has 2x DVI outputs
Monitor has 1xDVI and 1xVGA inputs
TV has HDMI, VGA, Red/White/Yellow Connection and Component Connection (3 Video, 2 Audio).

I also have Freeview Box connected to TV via the 1 SCART socket.

I will use the Xbox and TV connections the most so would prefer the quality to be with them, I don't use the Wii very much at all.

I have all sorts of cables at the moment, but know I need to buy some more too. Can someone just break it down for me in which direction I need to be heading, I'm sure it's very simple for someone who has done it before or knows what they are talking about!

Computer to Monitor with a DVI to DVI
Computer to TV with a DVI to VGA (or a VGA cable with a DVI/VGA adapter on the computer)
    Wii to TV via Component
    Xbox to TV via HDMI

Xbox HDMI if a HDMI version
Wii component, easy to get a cable or compositite.
Computer to TV via DVI to VGA Cable. (On port 2 of DVI)
    Computer to Monitor via VGA

    Xbox to TV - HDMI
    Wii to TV - Component
Computer to Monitor - DVI - Assuming you have seperate speakers
Computer to TV - VGA if not often used - DVI/HDMI cable if used often (but you would need to buy an HDMI switch presuming the TV only has one)
Freeview I would leave as it is, unless you upgraded

    Final List then:

Computer to Monitor with a DVI to DVI
Computer to TV with a DVI to VGA (or a VGA cable with a DVI/VGA adapter on the computer)
    Wii to TV via Composite
    Xbox to TV via Component

Righty-ho. Off to browse eBay for DVI-DVI DVI-VGA cables! Thanks for all your help! =)

Get a VGA cable and a DVI to VGA adapter. That way you can use the VGA cable to hook up laptops to the TV also (when they don't have HDMI).

As far as I know there's a variety of different DVI cables (different pin layouts) - careful when ordering so that you get the correct one.

Even 12 years ago I noticed a huge difference between composite and RGB scart and I noticed another increase from RGB Scart compared to component so its surprising anyone reccomends composite.

OP just spend a couple of quid on a 3 way component adaptor which should be well under a tenner and use component on 360 and Wii.

What graphics card do you have as newer ATI cards have audio via HDMI so just have a Ati dvi to hdmi dongle and plug into hdmi in tv, if it isnt a newer ati card then check if the hdmi socket on tv as a audio in connector like white and red or headphone jack in, that way you can use a stereo output on pc to the tv.

My graphics card isn't worth talking about right now. Sigh. Doesn't fit, too big and need a half size card which this isn't. Back to the drawing board on that one.
