    XBOX Live Credit Card Help........Sorted, thankyou

    Can anyone tell me the process of how to cancel a credit card/automatic renewal on Xbox live?
    ie
    1. Telephone number
    2. What info we need at hand when talking to operator etc...

    We went for the 3 months live plus extra microsoft points at a reduced price via the dashboard a little while ago, and stupidly did not expect our son to yet again, rack up ££££'s worth of bills, apparently buying maps?!??? and stuff on fifa ??!!
    We dont need a lecture please, he will be suitably chastised and so will we, jus any help to cancel this, thanks in advance :O)

    You would think so.... but not usually e.g before last update, you could not remove it[auto renewal] in the UK without telephoning them. The latest dash update gave you the remove option, they also now allow you to use paypal . So I switched mine over to paypal hoping to be able to remove my cc but I Cannot remove mine as it says there is a payment pending on it before and after selecting paypal as payment option.

    apart from the service is also unavailable at present

    we have cancelled the card, which immediately cancels his xbox live but they are sending a credit voucher to us for the remaining months left on Live, part of his punishment he will be without it until we decide to use the voucher and connect him again.

    Can't remove cc, just spend 10 minutes with the idiots on the phone, trying to sell me more discounted points and crap every time I asked for the renewal to removed. Just got sharp with the guy and told him to remove the renewal and give me a reference number, then he still tried to be funny with me. Idiot.

    OH has literally just got off the phone with CS ( thankyou for the 0800 number) and the bloke couldnt have been nicer.

    Obviously you weren't able to hear the conversation. Guy first told me I couldn't cancel the subscription when it was active, and that I would have to wait till May to cancel it, then told me I could when I got shirty about it.

    yes they did, but it did cancel the subscription too so they are going to email me a code to reinstate the remainder of the membership. It will take about a week to come through so that will be part of sons punishment to be without his precious Live!

    The only way I could cancel mine was changing my card details (luckily my old card expired). Every time I phoned up to cancel they put me through to India and (after 30 mins+) told me that they would cancel yet it never actually did.

    See another lie I was fed. Told I couldn't remove my card as there was an active subscription. I told him to cancel it and leave the reminder time. He said he couldn't do this as the payment would be there to take. I told him it was already taken, same with most of the customer service in this country poorly trained. Should of told him I'm in capable of spending millions of pounds on points. Was not offered the same service. Poor.
