xBox Live - Removing credit card payment option

Someone got me thinking today, about what would happen if my xbox got stolen, as I have my credit card saved on it. I have only ever made 1 purchase, and i can't now remember if it ask any security questions when you make a purchase, could anyone confirm if it does and what it asks (don't really want to make a purchase to test it)

Basically just a bit concerned what someone could purchase if they got hold of my xbox. Or am I missing something quite obvious that would stop them ?

I did look into removing my card details, but having done a search it appears you have to call Microsoft, convince them you really want your card details removed, wait upto 5 days for them to raise it with support and call you back, then wait 30 days from then for the card to be removed. And not only do they remove the card, but due to the process it has to be blacklisted, which means you can never use it again on live. All really useful stuff....NOT!!!!

Anybody ease my mind on the subject.....

Don't think it does. [ask security q]

You do have to call microsoft. And It doesnt blacklist it. didnt when i had one.

If it ever did get stolen, recover the gamertag on another console and it will disable the one on the stolen console.

or keep your gamertag on a memory card and keep the card away from the 360.

    Thanks for the replies.

What I have noticed having taken another look, is that you can set a password up so everytime you turn the console on, it asks for a password in order to log into Live. That will do for now at least.
