Xbox Live Vision bundle worth the extra tenner?

I was wondering if someone can give a bit of impartial advice.

Now I know that a 12 month Xbox Live can be had cheaper, but as I had the games to trade in to Gamestation, yesterday I got a 12+1 Xbox Live Gold Subscription for £39.99, however I noticed that they had for £49.99 the bundles with the Live vision camera.

I havent scratched off the code yet on the card, does anyone know whether it really is worth the extra tenner for the camera? Or is the camera really an unrealised gimmicky extra?

Thanks for any advice on this, dont want to scratch off the code if I am to take it back to exchange for the camera bundle pack.

Not many games use it at the moment. i only used it to put my face in Rainbow Six, then got bored with it after about an hour.

Tis good if you have family or friends you want to video chat with on Xbox live.

And dont forget, the camera works with your PC too so you can use it on MSN.

For a tenner, its the best web cam you can probably get for the money

with the vision cam you also get UNO and Robotron and a headset dont you. I did

So if I was to exchange it, I would just get the camera extra, no download links to games or any microsoft game points or anything?

I use my pc for chatting and already have a webcam (so wont be using it on my pc), is webcam really useful and worth the extra tenner on Xbox Live? And/or is there a way to get a standard USB webcam to work on a 360? Thanks.

Yep, you will just get the camera.

Ive only used the camera for scan my face in rainbox six. Apart from that i haven't used it. There is a pinball game on Live Arcade that you can use the camera with. It monitors your movement and you control the flippers with your arms.

If you have a spare tenner, id get it just for the sake of having it and when the need might crop up, it's there. I paid 15 quid for mine and have only used it a handful of time, but im glad ive got it "just in case"

Normal cameras dont work with Xbox, only the live vision cam.

i paid £19.99 for a vision, headset, uno and one months xbox live from Argos.
I think some stores still have it at this price

Thanks for the info guys. Harvie316 was correct.

To correct some confusion, the deal was better than I thought.

yes I know that a 12 month Xbox Live sub can be had for less than £39.99, however if you have games to trade into a store and are then really stuck at the mercy of store pricing then certainly I think that the extra tenner spent on this bundle at least at Gamestation is well worth it.

I got this for my £49.99.....

    Vision Camera
12 Month Xbox Live Gold Sub scratch leaflet Code
    Uno Game Scratch Leaflet Code
    Robotron Game Scratch Leaflet Code
200 MS Game Points Scratch Leaflet Code
    1 Wired Headset

Now I already have a wired headset already with my 360, so notice that CEX offer £4 cash or £5 exchange...making the extra tenner spent on this a no brainer...camera, two games and MS game points thrown in!
