Hey mate, try this forum, corsa-c.co.uk/for…php
No doubt youll find the answer there.

i hate drivers that blind people with xenons. Should be a MOT failure at the end of the year too

From MOT from December 2011, the below changes will come into force, which will be very bad news for some.

HID lights – Specifically those aftermarket kits that give the very bright headlight beams. Any cars found with these kits will be an automatic MOT failure. Testers are able to easily spot the difference between HID kits, and manufacturer fitted Xenon’s. Easy to spot as Xenon cars have suspension level sensors, in car beam adjuster, and usually headlight washers.

Or use this bulb finder from all corsa forum

You need to fit an after market Xenon kit wth Ballasts to get the ture HID's.

You can purchase xenon gas filled bulbs, but not waste your money on them,.

If fitting an aftermarket kit, ensure that you use a projector style headlight unit as some reflector units do not create the correct beam patten due to the capless bulb.

Ebay for HID kits. Only around £30 but find out which bulb u have first.

And if you require a bulb holder.

    What year is the corsa?

HIDs on corsas should only be fitted if you have projector headlights. They are still illegal HOWEVER as long as you go to your local garage and get them aligned they shouldn't blind people and the car will pass MOT. The reason they will be illegal is because the lights do not have washing functionality or auto levelling. Aslong as you keep them clean and ensure they are aligned wont be a problem for other road users.

See here on how to install them, however only go ahead if you have projector type headlights (facelifts), you get them aligned and I would suggest only getting bulbs below 6k otherwise it attracts too much attention

The reason why people complain about HIDs blinding people is because people go on ebay and install HIDs into reflector type headlights, this causes the light pattern to go everywhere and therefore blind other road users.

Edit: lol 2007 corsa d! If you don't want to bother fitting kits like above try getting some osram night breaker or ring automotive bulbs. All that Xeonon bulb stuff is tosh as you really need a ballast to use temp colours of 5.3k and above otherwise the light gets too dim.

    +1

Glad to see these idiots' cars will be failing their MOTS from December

How anyone thinks its cool to fit headlamp bulbs that blind people coming at you at 70mph is beyond me!

I bought some gas filled bulbs from halfords and they are alot better than the standard bulbs I got but yeah I've got my 2012 corsa d with those in and I also have a BMW e36 m3 and mine passed the mot because I had auto levelling and washer jets
