Had mine for about 2.5 years now and I like having it. It's all in the installation. It has to be lined up really precisely with very little margin for error for it to operate nicely.

Wouldn't bother with bluetooth/app unlocking as you need to open the app, press unlock on the app and press the lock for it all to connect up and unlock. Fobs and cards are instant though.

Hi folks, so lock arrived today, all good.
opened, started install, noticed no back plate.
seems back plate is prefitted as it were to the internal part but connected in a way to cause me much confusion. It’s under a rubber weather seal, fixed by a metal screw and hook. Reluctantly, I took this apart, good thing I did.
All fully installed, working, brill, I’ll add the fob.
Rookie mistake. Adding the fob, removes the card and vice versa. I didn’t read the manual. Instead, followed Yale’s factory reset option; a full removal. Actuator got stuck. I’d removed the screw. Now some 30 mins wasted lol.
Got actuator realigned, parts all added, fortunately, all working.
Read manual, added phone, fob, all good.
I reckon now, from scratch, could fit this, door holes predilled in 15 minutes.
Seems to use the z wave module 2 to remote unlock, I’ll need the Samsung hub as previously advised.
May buy the black module instead after all.
Thanks to those with offered help and advice, very much appreciated and correct.
Looks good though, black on a black door (edited)

I had one in my last house before I moved, I had one of the stickers stuck to the back of my phone and it worked great for me. You need to account for a set of decent batteries every 9 month (my usage) and need to make sure the wording on your insurance policy is correct. The AA where fine with it but needed to change the wording that said "external door locked with a key'

Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated.read a few reviews of rain …Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated.read a few reviews of rain setting off the tampering sensors which concerned me.if I do get one, I intend to get the appropriate zwave module and remote fob (sadly opens only).want to integrate it into hue n ring if possible, somehow.thanks

I've had no issues with rain at all and it's fairly open to it.

Remote locking would be redundant. You still need to physically lift the handle which then auto-locks anyway.

When I last looked, I'm sure it was either remote fob or smart-home integration, not both. They've maybe updated things though

I have one fitted to rear door. Love it, though if it's really windy and raining we do get the dreaded bleeping.... we just take the batteries out, and it becomes a normal lock except it can't be unlocked from outside. It is more secure than a keyed lock in as much as it can't be drilled out via the keyhole or picked. Only used the 'unlock via the app and Bluetooth' a few times and it is a bit of faffing around but it works- and its much better than hanging around for three hours until the Mrs gets home with a key. You can, though I've never tried it, generate a single use code you send to someone and they use it to get access. Ideal if you have family turn up and you're not there, but really a bit of a gimmick ( doesn't really help you as such as you should as homeowner have the app on your phone).
You can also, via the app, get a log of all the times it was opened and by who (card or registered phone).
Would I buy one again? - yes. Will I buy one again? - not until the price comes down.
They could make it 100% better if there was a charging point in the handle so you could use rechargeable batteries and charge them once a week overnight. That is pretty much the only downside/ criticism other than the price.

I have the zwave module 2 blue and the smartthings hub 3 intergrated as well into Alexa the echo show, with ring doorbell and floodlights and spotlights so I can see my cameras on the show, and you can then tell Alexa to unlock your front door and lock all works well

    Thanks again.
I don’t really want another hub plus I can see my ring doorbell on my Samsung tv.
I think I’ll get the lock first, can get any colour currently on eBay from Yale with the 20% voucher, £160, in black and then build up from there.
Thanks again, now to watch City beat PSG

Little tip... assemble everything finger tight, operate the handle and locking device manually several times. Check the electronic lock and unlock several times. This should align everything. Tighten everything and check again. How I did it and it needed no adjustment. (edited)

Yes, I’m anticipating ensuring insurance company are on board with it, thanks for pointing that out.

Excellent re rain not being an issue.
no, the modules are still only allowing one feature sadly, Hobson’s Choice I guess then lol (edited)

Again, thanks again for your reply and experiences, very much appreciated.
its comforting, if frustrating to read the rain beeping to be true but as you say, simple enough to take out the batteries even if not desirable, especially being in the North West lol.

The price is expensive, they’re on eBay for £140, brand new as a buy it now, smart home items aren’t known for being bargains.

Which of the coloured modules did you buy? Have you got a smart things hub?
I have, google apps, ring (doorbell n alarm), Philips hue smart things app but not hub, Alexa but disconnected currently
I’m considering the black module to get the remote fob, that’d probably do for what I need.
    thanks
