    YODEL - WHAT A JOKE!

Just wondered if anyone had a similar experience and how best to resolve it please. A Yodel courier supposedly delivered a package for my son to my addess a couple of days ago which was apparently signed for by him, I should mention he is 6 months old !! I spoke to the courier he claims to have definitely delivered it to my address yet his tracker shows he was never even on this street. When I mentioned this he changed his story completely and instead blamed Yodel claiming they put the wrong address on it, then said he can't remember as he delivers lots of parcels daily. Trying to get through to Yodel to get to the bottom of this (fraud?) has proved fruitless, I have NEVER come across a company with such bad customer service, people don't get back to you at all, left waiting in phone queues at huge cost, fobbed off with excuses and also, I believe, blatantly lied to. What is the best thing to do here, other then never ever use Yodel again, Is this a criminal matter?

we all know, and unfortunately these corporate companies will still use them.

That's very sad to hear TommaT. These 'smaller' courier companies seem to be a pain to deal with. I hope you get it sorted. If nothing else, try to contact the supplier and explain the situation and maybe they can help. I know sometimes it's like banging a head against a brick wall, but persevere.

    Good luck.

just be persistent with it' unfortunately this time of year delivery company's use alot of temps and agency workers so service can sometimes take a huge drop' I personally have never had a problem with yodel but I allways seem to get the same delivery driver who is allways bang on and goes out of his way to make sure you get your parcel and you sign for it.

    Where is the joke?

Yes yokel what a joke they are, last week they left a delivery on my doorstep, I live on a main road, they hadn't even got the brains to throw the parcel over the back fence which would have been safe, lucky I came home only 30minutes after they delivered this.

Just claim for a non received parcel.

    No.

Although leaving a 6 month old child at home alone could be.

Was that meant to be a joke?

The point the gif was highlighting is couriers (which Yodel and FedEx both are) should not be throwing parcels over fences, as buzz44 suggests. Almost can't believe I had to explain it, but then this is HuKD misc a.k.a. moron central.

Don't try and deal with the delivery company. Deal with whoever employed the delivery company.

I see you freed up some of your valuable time.

How was the comment I wrote ironic?

i read on martin lewis website about 2 weeks age.he said that your contract is with the company that you purchase from. any arguments about delivery you should have it out with the company that sent it.they have a contract with the delivery company not you.so dont waste your time. unless you contracted with yodel directly yourself.in that case you have to deal with yodel.hope this helps.
