you wanna watch some Beatles fans almost being run over!

Live webcam of the famous Abbey Road crossing.

lol, I've been watching the tourists trying to get photo's of themselves on the crossing while the traffic is still in full flow, some near misses !

did anyone just see that taxi then?

what's the speed limit on that road, My Girlfriend and i almost got ran over in the toon on Monday, because a daft old guy wasn't watching the road or is oblivious to the rules of a zebra crossing

Haha. Did you see the bearded nutter waving at the camera shouting "Hi, Mum"?

The Cars don't stop because most of them know it's just idiots hovering about waiting to get a picture taken on the crossing.

must be a nightmare for those car drivers !

arent cars supposed to stop at a zebra crossing?

    The Highway Code
    Pedestrian crossings (191-199)

You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines. You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians.

    [Laws ZPPPCRGD regs 18, 20 & 24, RTRA sect 25(5) & TSRGD regs 10, 27 & 28]

In queuing traffic, you should keep the crossing clear.

You should take extra care where the view of either side of the crossing is blocked by queuing traffic or incorrectly parked vehicles. Pedestrians may be crossing between stationary vehicles.

Allow pedestrians plenty of time to cross and do not harass them by revving your engine or edging forward.

Zebra crossings. As you approach a zebra crossing

    * look out for pedestrians waiting to cross and be ready to slow down or stop to let them cross
    * you MUST give way when a pedestrian has moved onto a crossing
    * allow more time for stopping on wet or icy roads
    * do not wave or use your horn to invite pedestrians across; this could be dangerous if another vehicle is approaching
    * be aware of pedestrians approaching from the side of the crossing

A zebra crossing with a central island is two separate crossings (see Rule 20).

nothing about pedestrians loitering with intent then.

At all crossings. When using any type of crossing you should

    * always check that the traffic has stopped before you start to cross or push a pram onto a crossing
    * always cross between the studs or over the zebra markings. Do not cross at the side of the crossing or on the zig-zag lines, as it can be dangerous

You MUST NOT loiter on any type of crossing.

[Laws ZPPPCRGD reg 19 & RTRA sect 25(5)]

Zebra crossings. Give traffic plenty of time to see you and to stop before you start to cross. Vehicles will need more time when the road is slippery. Wait until traffic has stopped from both directions or the road is clear before crossing. Remember that traffic does not have to stop until someone has moved onto the crossing. Keep looking both ways, and listening, in case a driver or rider has not seen you and attempts to overtake a vehicle that has stopped.

Why do they take pictures on there? o.O
