Hi all,

We are a young family (2 adults, 3yo, 6 months).
We would like to spend some time in Wales, away form the crowds, available to travel between 30th Aug and 9th Sep.

We've never been to Wales before so we are open for ideas and suggestions about areas worth seeing.

Do you have ny cottages/houses to recommend?

Bluestone is great if you like the outdoors

snowdonia. ymca

Anglesey in north wales or tenby in south wales, have a look on " hoseasons " see what they have

Tenby in the south or Abersoch in the North are both lovely. Take a look at owners direct.

I was camping in llandrindod wells last weekend. Nice lake, river hills ect ect :-)

Lydstep bay , lovely place near tenby but quieter

Stayed in Morfa Nefyn last week. Had a lovely time. try the Ty Coch Inn if you get a chance!

also Aberdaron is a really nice place to spend the day

stayed here once, was lovely - very quiet

Avoid the touristy section of north Wales and you can't go too wrong.
Anglesey or Pembroke area would be my preference

Plenty of good advice here, thank you! I'm checking all suggestions

There was another post a while back about someone coming to Swansea and wanted ideas of what to do/ where to go .. There were quite a few suggestions on there for what's around the area... I'll see if I can find it!! Here's a link for some cottages in Gower…00..

If you need any advice on the area then just drop me a message!

I second this, especially with young children. Term time prices are also very reasonable.

I'm with the suggestions above which reccomend Bluestone (although I haven't been - a lot of people I know have and have nothing but positive things to say about it!)

Tenby (which is near to Bluestone) could also be another option if Bluestone is all booked up. Lovely beaches and days out (dinosaur park, folly farm) nearby. If you more looking for a cheaper stay there is a caravan park called Kiln Park nearby. If you're looking for something more upmarket there's quite a few cottages to rent which will be available on most holiday letting sites
