Using a realme 8 5g / and recently updated to android 13
After update there is a new pop up media ( available when dragging down from the top of the screen) player which you could use for you tube ( and other sources). It allows you to play audio content and put the phone in your pocket without the screen getting disturbed when you are walking with headphones etc
I've noticed lately when dragging down from the top of the screen the media pop up controller is not available when using YouTube
Just not sure if this has been disabled for YouTube / or if I've accidentally changed a setting / or more importantly is there something i can do to you to get this feature back

Best way Vs going for APK from unknown source.
Works ok. Sometimes I have to paste YouTube link as cant find video from search in newpipe.
Mostly download audio only to listen. (edited)
