YouTube Premium via VPN

Hey guys,

I haven't shared this as a deal as I'm not sure how many credit cards this'll work with. Some of you are probably aware Alphabet/Google now verify your credit card address when you sign up for any of their services so the old trick of using a VPN to get things like YouTube Premium at a vast discount has gone.

..That's not strictly true. If you have a credit card which uses two factor authentication, ie, you have to confirm a transaction via an app you can actually bypass the address check.

Here's the steps I used to get YT Premium for something like $1/month (yes really).

  • Use a VPN and log in to a low cost region, Argentina was my choice
  • Sign in with your normal YT account and visit YouTube Premium
  • Use a random Argentine address and your normal credit card details
  • When prompted verify via your banking app (in my case it was Barclaycard)
  • Boom done... Another month of YT premium till they lock this down.

Hope that helps!

Honestly YouTube could fix it but they actually actively ignore it

Most people doing this trick likely ain't a big money maker from them anyway and wouldn't pay full price

It also build up subscriptions which one day when they do block it many will convert as they enjoyed it

Many company flaws often are to deceive shareholder on active users ect

This is the first I've heard of Google verifying card addresses for VPN signups.
