Very few times, they actually match but 90+% they don't apply to the deal
and like you, I get told that my code in the deal didn't work. And you have to explain
that I didn't put the code.

Its happened a few times today. I check the code obviously to see if it is working just to find the code they are using is for something else.

Its all fine and looks good but the codes embedded into descriptions are … Its all fine and looks good but the codes embedded into descriptions are useless. More often than not they are unrelated to the deal or expired. I constantly find myself explaining to users that the code they are using is not the one related to the deal. You seem to be appointing helpers and mods but not once have i seen one assisting people towards the right code. I spend a lot of time posting but i don't want to be doubling my time explaining that the codes in the description are pointless.

You could provide text at the very end of your opening comment (thread description) to relay that the following code is (or codes are) not applicable.

I know most of the codes wont apply. My deal today here for £3 Childrens fancy dress,
you get 20% off discount code but that code is for nightwear when you spend £30.

I shouldn't have to, the code that is on the page

hotukdeals.com/dea…556

has nothing to do with the deal, i did put it at the top of the desc but it doesn't stand out as much as their code does.

Cheers for the feedback on this. I'll pass it over for review.

At the end of the day they are pointless.

Most of the time the deal section is faster with codes than the voucher section. You are testing this new description thing so maybe been able to post the code in bold would be better.

Miles will know about 'embedded' stuff
I gather

I agree. I think it would've been much better if OPs could add the codes manually while posting to the deals through the new deal section instead of the site putting them on the posts.

Agree. You could also have the option to add on a code at a later date

Or at least show us what the codes are and what they are for, so they don't have to be clicked on to work it out.

*Post a gaming deal from amazon, get a 10% off gardening vouchers the bottom of it* I do feel like a good 90% of the vouchers at the end of a post are useless. Obviously the link to Cdkeys Facebook 5% off is useful as the link never changes. As Mixmixi suggested there should be a field when you post a deal (that you can edit at anytime) where you can enter a voucher code and what it does. Maybe even add it to the title i.e. (£.. with vocuher/code)
