PS. A similar issue, as seen in the same thread:

[ hotukdeals.com/dea…413 ]

A hyperlink, this time, contains a "tilde" character ("~"):

Another issue with quoting hyperlinks seen here:

Comment #12370:
[ hotukdeals.com/mis…106 ]

Comment #12369 has a hyperlink originally typed/formatted as follows:

flamingcarrot

PSN is down today, for 'maintenance'Forum thread here: … PSN is down today, for 'maintenance'Forum thread here: http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network/PSN-Outage-today-Thursday-21st-April-2011/m-p/12758774?WT.mc_id=TSO_EN_103

When this comment is quoted the space character between the colon at the end of "here" & the start of the "http://" address syntax is included in the quoted hyperlink.

The resultant hyperlink, when clicked, directs to...

Note: Also changed the title of this thread from:
"[BUG]: Secure HTTP Addresses Not Parsed Automatically"

to what I had originally typed:
"[BUG]: Secure HTTP addresses not parsed automatically"

Yet another example of "Mod Helper" intervention.

Another automatically-parsed hyperlink failure...

The converted hyperlink stops at the first apostrophe character.

This e-mail address also seems to cause the parser some issues:

help@uk.playstation.com

The hyperlink automatically generated is [ help@uk.pl ].

BFN,

fp.

PS. Updated title to "[BUG]: (Secure) HTTP (& e-mail) addresses not parsed automatically"

Banned

taking their time aren't they?

"dot info" addresses are not automatically parsed to "mailto" hyperlinks correctly. The link stops after ".in".

I have just received some e-mail spam (from ipad@buzzquick.info) about winning an iPad 2 directed to the e-mail address I used solely for registering at [ brinkthegame.com ].

I wonder how long it will be before an e-mail address-harvesting "bot" reaches this comment & reads ipad@buzzquick.info?

Not long I hope.

The .in problem should be fixed now. Enjoy, Citizens.
