"con" & "tains" not seen at all, other than your reference to them being split...

Strange, this is what I see.....
IE11
W7

Will try with other browsers.

Edit.... Chrome and Firefox seem OK.

Note the difference in the "social networking" icons between your Internet Explorer presentation, & my Mozilla Firefox version.

I suspect the width of those is impacting the amount of space the text on the offending line (or the whole description) can occupy.

I don't know if it's related, but I get different results when I hover over the drop down box on my avvy. See the two shots below...

Note, these were taken from two different sessions. I can't make them change at will. I have no idea how to get one version or the other.

Edit, Just realised these last two shots are of the current skin and some old skin. I don't know how the old skin appeared.

Edit again, The results are still the same though whether using current skin or whatever old skin that was.

I can reproduce this word-breaking issue on Win7/IE11. We'll look into this. Thank you!

Admin

That's fixed now.

Neellaa

That's fixed now.

Well I can see it from the title of this thread, so I don't think it's fixed.

Original Poster

Seems fine to me.
I will wait a bit for another report from Benjimoron.

Can you attach a screenshot? Which browsers/OS do you use?

Thanks!

Hmmm... Seems ok now. Maybe just short term cache or some other excuse that sounds technical!

Note I saw it in the title of the thread from the forum, not in this post. I see Phil's seeing it in the OP.

I've hit expire.
Needs 1 more.

Ah carp, Phil post once more in this thread, I clicked too soon.

How do you mean?

http://s11.postimg.org/r3dhwnfpf/jumpingphil.png

If I'm not the last to post it's in bold and it does that. If I've looked at the thread then it stops being bold and goes back to normal.

Hence why I needed someone to post again!!

Original Poster

Oh, I see.

It hasn't actually been expired yet. Just marked once for it. It needs two I believe.
Perhaps this does need looking at again then.

I think Neellaa needs Operating System details along with Web Browser details Benji.

Oh yeah, Windows 8.1 (it was Win 8 but then one day my pc decided I wasn't allowed to use it for an hour while it wanted to update to 8.1, grrr!!)

Firefox 34.0.5

I will report here after you so that you can still see the thread in bold, and incorrect presumably.

Yep, although just checked it on IE and it was ok, although looked totally different, I much prefer the version I have in Firefox, presumably there's another update coming....

You've lost me now.
So is it working or not?
If all is ok I will expire this.

Benji': Please use this link within Microsoft Internet Explorer to see if the site design is then the same as within Mozilla Firefox:

Nope, it stayed the same in IE. Please don't make the site look like that, I much prefer it how it is in Firefox at the moment.

Original Poster

As stated in post #2, Chrome and Firefox are ok for me. And I'm using Firefox 34.0.5 too.

Don't know what to do now 'cos as far as I can see my problem has been fixed.

This idea seems to be gaining momentum...

Seriously, though, could you provide a screen image of what you are seeing &, if possible, what you would like to see please, so that we can advise you what you need to click, or what you need to do to rectify it?

Benjimoron

This is what I see, although it doesn't bother me. It's just that's what the thread is about and was supposedly fixed, but it's not.

Sorry, I knew I should have been more specific when I submitted my request.

I meant the actual overview of the presentation/design of the site. Not just the limited text you have posted already.

The menu structure at the top of the page & the first thread title should be sufficient, but if you can post an image of an entire page of a Forum Summary view that will be very helpful.

For instance, here are the three different versions of the "Standard" site at present:

Thanks.

OK, I can now see that you are using the "New Skin" (post-September 2011; not the "Old Skin", & not the "New Responsive" design of the site).

What you neglected to mention is if this is the desired result in all browsers, if this is seen as the favoured presentation in one browser, or the design you do not wish to use in another browser.

Please try to help us, then we can help you.

Thank you.

I don't need help! Was trying to assist in fixing this bug if that was what was wanted.

I only use Firefox, if I used IE too then obviously I'd want it to look the same, who wants the same site to look completely different across browsers that they use??

Your last sentence contradicts your first.

OK, please continue as you were. I will not respond to you again in this thread.

I genuinely believed you were (also) asking for assistance.

Just out of interest, Phil, the two images below were taken just a moment ago from the "Ask" Forum Summary in the "New Skin" (post-September 2011; not the "New Responsive"/"NFE" design).

The first is with Mozilla Firefox's zoom level at 100% & the second is with the zoom level set to 110%...

Note the breaking mid-word in the second (110% zoom) image.

Yes, strange all this.
I really don't know whether to close this thread or not.
I think I will leave it for now for Neellaa to see and decide.

Original Poster

Oh no. What have they done now?

Have a look in this thread. Words are now getting split again but with a hyphen at the end of the line.
Come on guys ( and gals ) get this sorted please.

Original Poster

Anyone looking at this?

Admin

Fixed now

Original Poster

Yep, that looks much better.
I had already hit expire the first time this was fixed so I can't hit it again, but feel free to expire it.
