I've looked before and never found it. Would prefer them hidden also. Especially when viewing from work as many are un-appropriate.

These new settings for the board are horrific extremely user unfriendly.

Why not disable all images in your web browser's options during office hours & then right-click any image you wish to view (such as a Deal item, or "For Sale" photograph) & opt to load just that single one when required?

The problem with hiding all images is that many sites use them for navigation or similar so without them it becomes difficult to use the sites.

Yes... but the problem was just with this site. The option to hide images can be reversed when browsing elsewhere.

Have you tried navigating this site without images? Given they're used for a lot of the core parts of the site it makes it a lot trickier to use.

Yes, I have.

Most images have a standard web browser "alt" property as part of the HyperText Markup Language [HTML] "tag" syntax that displays text in the place of an image if it is not loaded automatically.

Others, like the images to the right of a comment ([Reply to this comment], like I just clicked, for instance) have a Javascript-enabled panel that is displayed (in the absence of an "alt" tag) instead when you ‘hover’ over them.

However, the icons for “Bold”, “Italic”, “Underline”, “Quote”, “Emoticons”, “Picture”, & “Link” are missing & do not have anything on-screen to indicate their presence. You can still click their position above the comment box within the "Leave a Reply" area though; see...

(Image removed)

(Or if you have an appreciation of the tags to use to produce the same effect as these 'buttons' that are not shown you can manually type them to produce the required result)

Granted, it isn’t ideal but it is far from completely unusable.
