Totally agree, have used codes with just about every order placed and got cashback in every case, and I DONT work for them or know anyone that does. Just got £60 off of a dishwasher and 11 months interest free credit thanks to the codes posted.

Hmmmm - starting a "New Thread" following on from your original comments on the Posters 'Deal / Thread' is, if nothing else, somewhat ........ Well, naieve - to be polite.

You have already made your point in the thread of the Deal - why duplicate an issue that you have been more than vocular about already?
I have to say that the post is cold enough already - without you needing to - well make up more misc posts etc.
Purrrrrrrrrr.
xxxx

I have gotten some really good deals from these codes to!

I've used a code with Marshall Ward which was honoured but the wife had trouble with a Littlewoods one that was posted to her in the mail and only got a refund after numerous phone calls and letters....

So they shouldn't be banned but buyers shouldn't assume it will be plain sailing....

Hello there.

I am the person responsible for the offending post mentioned by the OP, and I can assure you I am not an employee of very.com or any other retail company.
I am just a new member that found a way on very.com to get maximum Microsoft points for a lot less than what they would normally cost using a very.com voucher. (4800 for £20) I received my MS points that I ordered on Monday with no problem, so i thought I'd share it on here.
I thought this was OK as I'd seen an Ann Summers code used numerous times on various Ann Summers items, but for posting this very.com code I was flamed. I had taken my time to read through the rules and didn't see any mention of not posting very.com code.
I think some people on here should probably be a little more tolerant towards newer users without being so rude. OK, I did break the rules for copping the nark with one of the posts and retaliating via PM. For this I apologise and I have now served my 24 hour suspension for it.

wow, it would seem youve been bitten for abusing the codes yourself.

the benefits outweigh the negatives with shop direct group, especially for those that like to pay on the never never and those that take advanatage of the codes legitimately.

No Ban.:)

i didnt abuse any code, i used a new customer code, and was a new customer, they took the money back for the voucher some months later, the only way i dealt with it was the bank taking that money back from shop direct, they had no leg to stand on, so my refund remained

second time, shame on me i also tried to buy that buffalo drive a few months back, this time didnt use a voucher, i didnt have a problem that they couldnt supply the drive, what i did have a problem with was they didnt want to refund postage for an item they didnt send, and again had to force a chargeback. again, only the chargeback saved me, and again they had no leg to stand on to keep my money.

any codes ANYONE uses from this site are not legitimate, as shop directs terms state only codes issued direct to customers are valid, THATS why they should not be posted here.

taken from littlewoods terms and conditions today :
2.3 Promotional codes are codes that enable customers to obtain benefits such as discounts, free delivery and free gifts. These codes are non-transferable so may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with their terms and conditions of use.

again , people dont read what is posted and go for personal insults

so you used a new customer code and yoiu were a new customer, what was the reason for taking the cashback assumning you are being truthful?

this has nothing to do with the codes and there was a massive thread on it.....a massive misprice i believe, i saw it and knew it would not be honoured;-)

this is incorrect, some codes are legitimate and i have used some several times over a couple of years and had no problems at all, as have many others

some codes are listed on the site for anyone to use, these are often posted and if not abused are fine to take advantage of

i dont see any nor have i made any "personal insults" did you read what i posted? and i was correct you have been bitten as you have explained:)

"wow, it would seem youve been bitten for abusing the codes yourself."
that is a personal insult

"so you used a new customer code and yoiu were a new customer, what was the reason for taking the cashback assumning you are being truthful?"

i told the bank shop direct offered a new customer discount, which was at first allowed and only taken back a couple of months later when i couldnt return the item (used it by then) and they gave NO reason, just found it when checking my bank statement

why shop direct at first charge you full amount, then refund the voucher is so they have the ability to rescind the refund later, as its not a transaction, so gets around the rules for charging money to your account, if they purely discounted the voucher right away, they couldnt do these shenanigans, they did this around 2months later and with no contact and no wish to discuss it when i did phone, so did a chargeback

I am done explaining myself to you, please do not quote me in future, you always assume me of not being truthful and abusing some such or other
please make your OWN mind up and dont piggy back on my comments

We don't permit any merchant self promotion here at all. Some merchants do indeed try it on, however anyone found to be doing so runs the risk of a site ban as well as the merchant being blacklisted.

with the new customer voucher - I got the runaround, a called several times over a week, never got an answer, first said oh dear let me look into it and call back, then passed around when that call didnt come and then cant find your account! i started monday and gave up friday and called the bank,

i filled in some paperwork and printed off all the emails which they (bank) asked for (it wasnt a lot of money, whatever new customer discount on around 30 is, but the principle, lots of work really)

on the second purchase - buffalo drive, they took money but refunded the next day (that isnt a problem, wish they didnt take till despacth but quick automatic refund), but left off the delivery money (4 quid or so) so called them, and again got a mon-friday runaround, this time the bank didnt ask for paperwork (probably due to the short amount of time and simply not had any service for the money)

Im sure many people do get fair service, or they wouldnt have any return customers, i just have to say when twice bitten in two deals, to be very careful, and thankfully used a credit card so couldnt lose out long term, but it can still be hassle
