sounds time consuming, any suggestions how to do this efficientley?

I thought they gave out infractions if someone voted cold many times without explaining it...? Prob wrong though

if you think this is happening skusey click report button and ask mods to look into it

mods have been asked on numerous occasions for this to be changed so a valid reason can be given for voting cold - does pzz you off though

agree, I did suggest a 'pop up' asking why you are voting cold etc.

Hi Skusey

If a particular member votes a large number of deals cold we will send a warning to them; if they persist then we will look at blocking their ability to vote/expire/spam. The same procedure applies if we think/find that a member is voting another members deals cold for no reason i.e. they are targeting that members deals. If you feel that this is happening please report it and a mod will investigate; and I look into these quite seriously. You may be aware that I post the odd deal or two, so I am quite keen to see that members do vote fairly across the board.

From the HUKD rules "Abuse of the voting system, reputation, expiry and spam buttons will lead to a ban from the forums."

We will only apply that rule in extreme circumstances. We prefer to warn then block the vote, if they persist. Depending on the severity of the cold voting we may or may not infract the member responsible.

People who abuse the voting system do ruin HUKD somewhat. It annoys me when people take the time to source then post a deal only for it to be voted cold because the "voter" doesn't (for example) like the film if it's a DVD/BluRay or they don't have an item of clothing in their size or you can pick up another totally different model (if an electrical product) for £1.00 less etc. People really should post why they are voting cold and also post a link to where it can be found cheaper if applicable.

Members should respect the voting system and only vote hot or cold on deals/posts that have a particular relevance to themselves.

He doesn't have any cold deals. If he had a series of sub zero deals, I would understand his query. In his most recent deal he says(I paraphrase) "Don't vote this cold". this always has the opposite effect.

its one of the points he asked if you bothered to read the OP :whistling:

If so, do mods know who has voted and do they clamp down on this sort of carry on?
