There is a way that you don't have to view the competitions. Along the top of the screen is a tool bar caled forums - if its set to "All" just click on "Deals" and you won't see any competitions etc just the deals page......(thats why the comps have their own forum)

Any comps that are mistakenly posted in the deals section gets moved to the competition page.

yep-as gary says-easy enough to filter out if you dont like them-and you cant build up your feedback by posting comps btw.

Now you got the hang of the forum bar - if you're feeling adventurous try the "customise deals and alerts" option. There you can specify which forums you want displayed - so that if you just want deals and freebies you just select these two forums in your custom settings, save the settings then click on the custom tab (next to Hot, New, Discussed tabs)....

Thanks again, done now!

anyone know how you exclude the competitions from your custom RSS feed setup on your "custom settings" page ??

I've selected only the "Deals" option from the "Forums" droplist and yet still when i view my custom RSS feed I still get all the annoying competitions ??

There might be a problem with rss feed - a problem was reported about "Topic" tags with customised RSS feeds

Maybe the problem also extends to Forums?
