You'll need the Enhanced WYSIWYG editor enabled if you don't already.

Thanks for that :thumbsup: I'll try it out on my next linked post.

{NB Itried to leave you rep, but I had session cookies disabled so it kept bouncing it, so if you have 3 entries I wasn't going crazy, honest :roll: }

I can do those types of links, but find that people ask me where the link is....so I have gone back to just typing it out

Just tried it on a post & it worked first time, so it may be on by default as I hadn't selected/changed anything. Thanks again birdboyuk:thumbsup:

.

You don't even need the advanced editor.

The BBCode is:

(url=ADDRESSHERE)Text Here(/url)

You do need the edtior to use birdyboy's method though. Perhaps slightly easier for most also.

Does it work with pictures as well as text? When I insert an image (jpeg), can I highlight the image thread then attach the link to that ?

Would be handy if, for example, you wanted to list additional smaller items related to main deal, so you could just click on picture link for further info.

what do you think experts ? :roll:

Lets see if it works, insert pic, then hidden link :

[COLOR="Blue"]click on pic to goto link[/COLOR]

Yeah it works !!!! So you can link to a picture as well as text without having to display the actual link address :-D

i always just find it easier to have the link already copied and then do a CRTL+V to paste the link in as im typing ie [ url=CTRL+V] WORDING [ /url] (without spaces lol) or for an image, have the link copied and type [img]CTRL+V[/img]

i guess its all down to what you are used to, what you find easier and more importantly what you are comfortable with

Think that how I do it as well. I open link in another tab then ctrl+c , ctrl+v it into link address. First pic then link on top. Prefer that to right click pull down menu. Can be done in secs that way. No typing or scrolling required, just highlight & paste.

My favourite shortcut is ctrl+z (undo) - that's got me out of some probs before & it works in almost all software :thumbsup:
