Are you using + signs in your search? With that one, personally I would start with just

]+football +argos

and if it produced too many results, add maybe ]2008 - I would try to avoid using evolution in case the original spelling is incorrect ... although in this case it's not because if you search for

]+Pro +Evolution +2008 +Football +Argos

only the original and this one comes up. I think Emma has a guide for searching in her signature.

Edit: Yep, ]here it is.

Another idea is to simply filter by merchant.

Note, if you are on the "hot" tab it'll only show results voted hot...

Ok I've found the problem and as usual it's something stupidly simple. I had been using Emmas guidlines and advice however when I first read Emma's advice I misread the bit about the space between the words and subsequently I was searching like this :

+ football + argos

and

+ Pro + Evolution + football

Believe it or not this brings up a completely different set of results. Try it and you'll see.
So there's the answer hopefully.
I'll try and stop being such a dumb-ass in future :x

Thanks TJ for taking the time to explain and help, appreciated and repped.

Thanks Ducky, yeah I knew that one but hopefully now have my answer ^^^^

Incidently if it's not Top Secret Info have Duplicate Deals increased dramatically since the change ?

Regards

Yes, a lot of duplicate deals are posted... but I honestly think the majority of people don't even search at all... but obviously I have no way of knowing this.

There were always a lot of duplicates, even before the changeover (EDIT I think I counted once, and we remove about 30% of all deals posted, and dupes are the main culprit)

Blimey, that's a lot of your and the other Mod's time. Shame there's not a way of automating or part automating the process but I guess it would be incredibly hard.

Anyway from my part hopefully i will improve now , lol. It is actually really embarrassing and I for one would rather stop posting deals than keep posting duplicates.

Cheers emma

Well, the members really help by reporting duplicates, and clicking spam on them, including the link to the OP somewhere in that process. We just have to encourage that

Point of interest - I have spammed 1412 threads since the forum changeover!
