Well, technically it's a completely different deal... and should be posted as such.

Plus people may have voted on what you first posted, so it's not right to change it...

Yes, I think that's a good idea. You could even get the old one spammed if you ask a mod nicely (Or ask the members to)

Does it have any repercussions if you post something that is spammed, please Emma?

No, not at all. It's just removed.

The only repercussions is if it was true spam, of course, in which case it will be dealt with accordingly.

People would know it was just a mistake if you just said so and asked to be spammed?

Yeah. You could PM a mod and they'd remove it for you or you can hit the http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/images/custom_buttons/report.gif report button and put in the box why you want it to be spammed.

We don't publically announce that we've marked it as spammed, it just disappears.

OK. Final daft question: how do you PM a mod?

Hehe.

Click on the username of a moderator next to one of their posts (me, edi, emmajk42, millarcat, MikeT, rayman, Admin) and click on "send private message". If our little flame icon is orange then even better, as that means we are online.

Heh... I've not seen fordy around in quite a while but if he pops back, yeah.

He submitted a deal the other day. I too had forgotten about him until I saw it to be perfectly honest.

This question has been asked in another thread, i'm guessing that it was the "Bug report and fix" thread.
Since the suggestion to update the 1st post on that thread has not been implemented, can someone in authority let us know whether it will ever be possible for "Normal" members to edit posts in the "Deals" section?

I understand that the mods are busy, and so don't report most deals that have missing information, if "We" cpould do this, it would be so much easier. As long as a 'Footprint' was left, any abuse of this system would be easy to deal with.
