We ask that you spam duplicates. If it has expired by the time you get there, it would be great if you could ask people to spam dupes instead of expiring them, as by the time a mod gets there, we just remove, and people don't realise.

emma i was referring to the fs boards, to those that relist items when they shouldnt be etc, etc, just incase you thought i meant dupe deals

I did think you meant dupe deals

One advantage is that it saves people reading threads that have been closed or where the item has been sold.

as far as i can see that is the only advantage, and only the team can decide if that outweighs not having one

I'd argue that it's upto the users who are clicking into threads? ;-)

Maybe a "SOLD" and an "OFF SALE" or "CLOSED" tag would be better, but I suppose that "EXPIRE" is much simpler and ties in with all of the other sections of the site.

yes i see what you mean, its just of late members either think expired means closed so relist, or assume expired means they can relist, just me having my weekly moan maybes

LOL, weekly (cough daily) :whistling:

I think a personal close button for users on the FS/FT threads should be made.

You would only be able to be close it if you were the person who started the original thread.

Any thoughts?
