It depends on the "rep" of a member, if a member has posted alot of very hot deals then it may only take one click to expire a deal..I don't know how many low rep memebers have to click expired, all I know is that I can't expire a deal by myself

It isn't possible for one person to expire a deal anymore.

The mods know who has hit expired, so you can simply report a thread to them and they will 'Unexpire' it and investigate if necessary.

It's OK now - unexpired I guess!:)

It does seem too many posts are getting expired when they shouldn't, just mailed Emma about another one.

Is this something Admin needs to look into so 1 or 2 people can't expire a deal ?

The expired button
admin:
One of the most important things you can do as a member is help keep offers and voucher codes up to date by clicking the EXPIRED button when an offer has ended or when a voucher code no longer works
When you click the button it counts as a vote and when enough members vote EXPIRED then the deal is marked as expired. EXPIRED will then automatically show in its title and it will drop out of the active deals list.

So as you can see, particularly with vouchers, this is a very important thing! You can find the button on the bottom left side of any thread, along with the Edit button. DO NOT use the expiry button just because you do not like a deal - persistent occurences of this may be met with a ban.
It doesn't say how many is enough members. I've seen one post today where someone said that they had hit expired by mistake and it wasn't expired.

It's dependent on voting power - the more voting power you have the more influence on the expired vote.

So, could be 2, could be 20 needed to expire?

I know you said that, but I was going by a post from Edi about a week ago that stated some people have enough voting power to expire a thread by themselves.

I would like to see a link, because I don't believe edi would've said that.

I wouldn't have a clue which thread it was. I just remember someone asking why a deal was showing expired when it hadn't, and a mod did reply (i'm pretty sure it was Edi, sorry if i'm mistaken) that it can take just one person to expire a deal.

Anyway, if i'm wrong then sorry, but that certainly stuck in my mind.

Maybe Edi will drop by here and clarify if it can be done with just one vote.
