Yup, as mentioned, if the merchant on marketplace has a dedicated store and is already established on Hotukdeals then they're allowed. If not then it's a no-no.

Will this only apply to those stores which use Amazon marketplace as their only "outlet" for reduced goods?

One example that springs to mind is The SportsHQ - they have inflated prices with dramatic price cuts (eg 70%) and these are listed in Amazon Marketplace and Amazon Outlet but they are generally the same price as their main site. In other words there would be no point posting an Amazon Marketplace deal for SportsHQ as its the same price on the SportsHQ website. I'm sure this will also apply to other retailers

Id say yes but only if its cheaper than buying direct after cashback.

And also it would be better if it went under their own store name rather than Amazon Marketplace in the deal shop name.

Yep, agree with that, however I guess this is the same in the case of ebay stores vs actual merchant sites, and places like hut vs sendit vs zavvi where prices often mirror one another. A price has to be the best across the board I think in order for it to count as a hot deal and members will vote it cold if it can be found for the same price on another site, especially if they can use cashback.

Can't say I agree with that, I think amazon is amazon, marketplace is marketplace and individual merchants should be entirely separate.

So if thats the case then you could list a deal from the shop direct and amazon marketplace (same shop) and it wouldnt be a dupe. Amazon simply handle payment, everything else is with the shop.

You allow Priceminister deals to be posted on here, and that's no different to Amazon Marketplace or Playtrade.

I can't see the problem with it to be honest, but the same rule should apply to playtrade. I've picked up a number of bargains on there recently (mainly Blu Rays) from business sellers including Base and Gzoop - both of whom have numerous priceminister deals on here.

Sounds like a done deal.
