How about sorting deals better?
I.e you have categories -- let us decide? Im not interested in Dell stuff so i could un check that in my settings but Money of Vouchers and Phones etc i am, so i can flag to show all. You set some to show all (unless overriden by category) Ultrahot (override category settings?) and some just to the actual categories etc.

prob doesnt make sense :s

I'm happy for Admin to highlight the goods deals

If everything was displayed it would just lead to confusion.

Thanks for the great work.

No it makes sense....it's just the software I'm using right now isn't that powerful. Or at least I don't think so...I'll check out the slashdot category system again and see if there's any mods for the Postnuke system to do something similar. That would be the first step

I'n happy with the way things are, i tend not to look at the front page very much and go straight to the forums as i've seen you put the best deals in their too, which i find very helpful!!

I think it works very well as it is. Having deals on the front page for quick reference, is handy when using the shop name links on the left.

I also like the deals posted in the forums, in no particular order, as you quite often will come across something or somewhere you've never heard of before.

Looking through some other deal sites, where there are just banner ads to click through can be very boring as there are so many of them. They also have loads of repeated deals [like the Dell or Amazon or Tesco... so on]

Weeding out the particular item deals + having them posted in the forum [even if they are on the front page as collective deals] I think helps people "notice" something they could be interested in that they wouldn't have otherwise found, if you know what I mean.

Maybe categorizing into sections like: Electricals - Computers - Entertainment - Fashion - Travel - Telecoms - Groceries - Gifts... Others could help, but it could become too cluttered.

i have to agree.. ur looking for a very fine (at least by default) balance to keep HUD that refreshing, easy interface compared to most
