i'd have a go at using the contact us button

I think you can 'report' the original post and ask for it to unexpired that should send a message to Mods and lead them directly to the thread in question. I'm sure I've seen this mentioned as a valid way of doing this.

Thanks for replies.
I can see no "contact us" button

I am hesitant to use the report button to do this as it states it is ONLY (in caps) intended for certain uses, (unexpiring is not listed amidst these certain uses)

It is fine to use the report button for this purpose. The message that it brings up is standard due to the forum software.

Yeah it's ok to report it and it's helpful to explain why it should be unexpired so a mod doesn't have to read the whole thread to find out.

contact us button is at the bottom of the page

where's the 'report' button?
