One who gains a livelihood from trade, trading goods or securities.

not such a good def i no but i think the main point here is they have to gain a livelihood

Hi sassie

I consider a trader someone who uses the FS Forum as a way to make money selling goods bought for the purpose of reselling. In my opinion this goes against what the HUKD FS/FT Forum is about and is why rules have been implemented.

Thanks

yes, i assumed that, yet we still see items being sold that couldnt be any more obvious that they where purchased to sell on, some even openly state this yet the threads remain open and yes even after reports, im not talking about the odd few items here either

Please continue to use the “report” button if you see posts that you feel are breaching the FS Forum rules stating your reasons why and they will be looked at.

Thanks

if you report a thread twice for the same reasons ad they are still left up then its pretty obvious you aint gonna close them, i just wanted to be clear on what HUKD definition was

Sassie, sometimes it's hard to make a judgement on things like this, and each individual case needs to be looked at on its own merits. The same can be said for a lot of other things on HUKD, not just the for sale forum guidelines. That's why they are guidelines, we can work around them, making judgements as we see fit.

In some cases, we have corresponded with the individuals in question, and given them permission (or not) to trade, all of which a regular member would not know about.

emma i sorta understand what you saying, but it seems a little unfair that some who purchase with the sole intention to sell some times can and others cant, some get a ban for it and others can trade, as i have always said if you want members to help on the boards then things need to be in the open, i see alot on the fs/ft board, probably more than most and of late am seeing a fair bit of unfairness, some break rules and get a warning whilst others break rules and get banned, the rules should be in place and each member shhould get the same treatment, as i have said numerous times i am seeing very new members getting banned for something they probably werent aware of whilst seeing long standing members doing the same with no ban and i know they are aware of what they are doing as they have been pulled about it before, same as dupe threads, some are getting banned and others arent and it seems the ones with a higher postcount, higher feedback are gettting away with far more than those with less and in my eyes that dont seem the right way round
