Did you set-up any Deal Alerts? That is, were the e-mails valid for your User/Profile preferences &/or use of the site?

Where all the e-mails different, or the same message (or messages) repeated numerous times?

Do you use Yahoo!, Gmail, Hotmail, or a similar web-based mail service?

I did set-up deal alerts but that was aaaaages ago, can't remember one. It's not listed in my subscriptions in the settings now. All messages different and i use hotmail.

...so possibly not "bugged" in the delivery of the messages.

They may be valid according to your prior preferences but you cannot confirm these to be certain.

Can you see any details in the "Customise Deals & Alerts" page?
