advanced search shows expired deals with the option to INCLUDE EXPIRED DEALS

this is clearly a bug that has existed forever.

you have to click INCLUDE EXPIRED again to bring back the same search results then EXCLUDE EXPIRED to properly exclude them

Thanks for the tip about the expired filter bug. It would still be useful to be able to specify this as an option on advanced settings. However, I've found out that if you add to the URL after you have done your search:

&closed=0

then this will only show non-expired items. Where as &closed=1 will show both expired and non-expired items.

LOL - cannot comprehend how the developers sit around all day thinking up hair-brained things like the badge system when one of the most fundamental parts of the site is broken.

Dont get me started on normal search which is actually worse than useless (hence all the dupes).

As above, sort out normal search first.

dont you mean:-

feedback + improving search requests = totally ignored by developers

whereas

feedback + idea for a new badge = near instant response

Search is a bigger/tougher problem than a badge colour.

never
surely having a developer working on the site you would expect some improvement in a few years though? Why not just put the original vbulletin search back in place?
