I agree techno79 - lets hope some one implements this soon!

I managed to find a great website that allows you to filter RSS feeds with your own allow/disallow keywords and settings. I've personally set two RSS feeds from HotUkDeals:
First will show me everything except things with specific keywords (I've excluded all the competition stuff).
Second one disallows everything except those containing keywords.

The second feed I use to actively monitor things I actually want to purchase. The first feed I just check from time to time as it is less important (but also there are some things that might slip through so I occasionally need to refine my allow filters for the second feed or disallow filters for the first.

It works well but having better categorised RSS feeds at source would be so much more better.

Thank you techno79, that site is an excellent find. Combined with a better rss gadget for Windows 7 I won't miss anything now.

Cheers

Hey Stinkybeard,

Have you checked out your custom settings page? In there you can set up a custom RSS feed. I like your suggestion about having different feed links on different pages, though. I'll throw it in the queue.

Oooo, did not see that. I will have a play. I would like a live bookmark of just new stuff.

Thank you for the reply.

The official hotukdeals app has functionality for keyword alerts to be pushed direct to your phone. We plan to implement this on the site in the near future. For now the custom settings page should be able to tide you over! Rest Easy, Citizens.

I'll have a look at the app as well. Ta

This thread marked as "spam" due to previous thread (created 1 week & 3 days ago):

But there were no replies there and by the looks of it it should have been posted here. Surely leaving it over a week isn't "spam"????

I am not sure what you mean by "it should have been posted here", but a week without a reply is far from abnormal (unfortunately).

You can always use the "Contact (Us)" form, 'bump' your original thread by adding another comment, or "Report" the whole thread or your existing comment.

I've bumped your original thread Andy but don't hold your breath. The developers seem to have forgotten how to get to Feedback. I blame this crappy new design.

I know this has been a while, but is this still possible? I've just set up feed rinse, and I want to do the exact same as you, ie have two sets of filters, one for everything excluding keywords, and one for things i'm interested in. But I can only set up one feed for one source. It won't let me add the same source as another feed. Any ideas?

Hi there have been a few similar threads requesting the option to have multiple RSS feeds so they've been merged some comments into this one.

We will pass your requests on for future consideration to the team
