Here's the link for those who don't want to type: Mobot.net

Maybe some of the expired mobile phone deal threads which turn into lengthy discussion threads (eg San Francisco) can be locked by a mod with a link to the relevant area on Mobot.......

Stops the continued bumping of expired phone threads in Deals and might generate extra traffic for your new site......

That's a pretty good idea gari189. Not sure if 'breaking' the discussion would be too annoying though?

It would be cool if the mobile deals on here automatically get posted on mobot.net

It would be one way of clogging up misc with countless rooting and where do I get a case for my san fran threads as virtually nobody will go on mobotnet and ask the same thing.

Supermod

Admin/Mods - what makes you (ultimately) decide that you want to extend the network?

I have a couple of ideas which I am sure you must have considered but wondered if there is a particular reason why they would not be "runners".

Whilst it goes without saying that you obviously do not have to answer, I am just intrigued.

A few things I guess: does it fit with HUKD already, people to write for it, level of interest, whether we have anything we can do better/different than other existing sites.

If you've got an idea or have an idea and experience send me a PM.

Next stop sorting out Fo.lk so it actually looks useful and falls in line with the FS/FT.

Still got more feedback on there then here. Also don't use Fo.lk apart from closing threads, have no idea why we can't have that button here also?

Like the new site btw, I guess you sorted the moderator problems on there (filled positions), be interested to know if the person who filled it was an active member off here, would be nice to see some members who work hard getting employed?

There are some members on all the blogs. Some you know like Emma but others you don't as they use their real names. Some of the writers are not active members but all are using HUKD.

Re fo.lk we're going to put some time into fixing some things and adding features in the next few months as it's actually been getting more active on there lately.

Cool.

Glad to see some activity is going on there. Colour scheme change?

I can't access mobot.net and have tried a few times. It's always been from my Virgin Media ip, but various browsers including ie8. The only way I have been able to access is via anonymous proxy. It looks like it's a web site configuration issue because I am able to visit and view feeds.mobot.net/mobot. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi kerridge0. Thanks for letting us know. I'll pass your details on to the devs.

I have exactly the same problem when using Virgin!

Yep, same here, PlusNet this time.

Can access the feed but haven't ever been able to access the site via my home broadband, phone works fine over T-Mob.

Looks like we are getting blocked;

I raised that issue a week of so ago.

I've not tried connecting to the website without the router, but it looks like its not just my problem.

I'm not really too fussed by it, I just wanted to raise the point with the Admin/Developers to show that some people can't access their site.

now working

Yep me too.

Why would anyone visit this when you can read Engadget or Gizmodo. I was expecting some liking Deal Spwn where you promote phone deals and traffics. Deal Spwn fails when it tries to be Kotaku and Joystiq. I'm not interested in news thats days old. I want cheap games not an opinion piece on Lara Croft.
