i dont think this site design supports it and it would not be anything hukd could do as the site is from another company

I'm sure I've seen a few vBulletin forums have something similar to what I'm describing though....

Or is it Jelsoft that would have to do the coding?

Hmm, maybe Admin could have a look into it?

code is easy to find … code is easy to find thoughhttp://www.blender.org/development/coding-guides/coding-tutorials/adding-a-floating-panel-to-a-window/

I really don't understand coding so that just looked like german to me lol.

might be able to do it with a java command or add on

vbulletin is customised by the forum owner and not jelsoft. HUKD has a techie who does all the display stuff, username is developer.

What you want is possible but would mean a bit of work to get it done,

Rappy - java can't be used on vb as its a php forum. but javascript can

why not just open the main hukd page in a seperate tab? Its only 1 click.

Well these are all methods but not as easy as a floating box. I use alot of tabs so it would just be cluttered.

Although the site uses Vbulletin for its base, the code has been extensively customised to bring the site to its current state.

What is the recent thread sidebar?

That's the code for an open source 3D modelling application and doesn't apply here, the actual code for creating the floating Window probably wouldn't be that difficult it's just integrating it into the main site without breaking anything or causing any downtime would be more tricky.
