Well maybe you as an Administrator could tell ME the point of it?
Sorry if it's too complicated a question.
If you click on a username and select 'view public profile' it shows the user details - title/joined date/last activity. The last activity date/time is never accurate. It's handy to know sometimes but no use if it's not accurate. For instance, in FS/FT it can be useful to know if a user has been logged in if you have asked a question, to give you an idea if they have had chance to reply or they just couldn't be bothered, in which case you can go choose not to deal with them.

I'm trying to determine what your issue is. Is it that you don't like the last activity information or you believe there's a bug and it's not accurate. There's obviously a difference between the two but you've mixed them up when complaining which makes it hard to know what to fix or consider.

Thanks, so it's not just me then.

I'm sorry, but I really think you're being pedantic here. I can't see how my post can be misunderstood.
I'm asking what is the point of having the users last activity in their profile if it's not accurate, which it clearly isn't. Look up any recent post by anybody and have a look at their last activity in their profile. You will see that it shows their last activity as being hours ago when in fact you have just read a post of theirs from 5 minutes ago!
I don't know how programming and web design works, so don't know if it is possible to have an accurately updating system, I'm just saying if it's not accurate it may as well not be there.

I have found that its only 100% accurate when you have a message in your inbox/outbox from them, if you were to click their name rather than the actual message it shows the most recent activity which is more accurate than when you click on someones profile, hope that helped, try it and see if it works for you

I posted this a while back hotukdeals.com/ite…733

something to do with different time in different databases.

i too find it annoying as it's difficult to see when somebody was online to see if they're just ignoring your post or just haven't been on.

Agree the most accurate time appears to be from within PMs

If you use this link hotukdeals.com/for…?u= and enter in the users profile number at the end of the link (when you rollover their avatar it shows on the bottom left of your screen) then you can see when they were last online

Tried this on several users but the last activity is blank on each one?

Tried this on several users but the last activity is blank on each one?

Are those users using invisible mode (hides when you are online)?

^^^ beat me to it :P

Bumping this up because I've just noticed the same thing as the op

i agree with deek, should be bug free as it would be easier for fs/ft you know for sure if someone has been avoiding you/not bothering to get back to you

If you access the "Last online" information by clicking on a users name then "View Public Profile", it gives you out of date info.

If however you send them a "PM" and go to your outbox and click on their username (without opening the "PM" then you can see up to date info on their activity.
