Would have to agree, also, those who are suspended should have their threads locked and only re-opened upon contacting the mod team when their suspension is over (if the OP wishes for that thread to be unlocked of course)

I think it would be a lot of work for the mods to lock and re-open threads of members that were suspended for 24 hours(example). It wouldn't serve much purpose.

That sounds super.

Have you drawn up a nice list of things you'd do if you were a mod?

what point would this serve?

surely this is matter for moderators and not members

so members dont bump there threads, thinking said item is still for sale, I presume

FS/FT Threads I can understand, these should be locked as the person listing is unable to respond which defeats the purpose of its existence, however it doesnt make sense for Deals, Vouchers, Misc etc to be locked.....

Can you be more specific as to why you raised your point?

I noticed a banned member had a lot of FS/FT threads opened. I don't see any possible advantage of them being left opened.

I reported it, and a moderator has locked them all now, so I guess they agree.

whats the point?

If they're banned, then the thread is as good as dead anyway

a pointless change if you ask me.

It does make sense to do a bit of housekeeping. Expiring the thread as a minimum will help users who only wish to see valid live listings in the search results (assuming they have set the user the exclude expired option).

I didn't think of expiring them.

Will do that as well as reporting next time.

Re my comment regarding the FS/FT, Dont think anyone is disagreeing with you on that, however you hadnt mentioned FS/FT in your OP nor any of your replies, which is why I was asking you to be more specific.

Don't agree with OP, lock FS/FT threads but others should remain open
