Yup I've got the gist of what you're saying. In that case post it directly in the forum though. I keep an eye on it as much as the submitted offers queue so it'll get spotted by myself or another mod asap and get moved to the front page.

Submitting to the queue makes it easy and quick for me to post to the front page but if it's a quickly expiring deal just post it directly in the forum

A good idea is to put it on the forum. It's better for some people to see it than none at all. The forum actually has a lot of hits, I never look at the front page. You'll notice that a lot of front page things are put into the forum first.

If you're in doubt, post to both. I'm sure Admin will understand.

Ahh, very good points, thank you I'll post in the forum if that situation ever arises then.

Here's a suggestion, how about tying in the front page deals with the appropiate forum threads? Or is that not even possible?

(not trying to be fussy, just having a few ideas ;p)

They are tied in. If you read post a comment, it adds to the forum post. If you post in the forum thread then it adds to the comments page. Try it.

Yup exactly, thanks duckmagicuk2

The only missing piece of the puzzle is having the full text of the front page story added to the forum post instead of just the link...

I've just realised what threw me off, the fact it says '1 Comment' below ever deal!

But yup, that full text of the front page story would be nice to have as the first post in the forum, but not essential

Ah yes that's a glitch, it should automatically count the correct amount of comments but it is always stuck at one. It'll get fixed yet....

Can't you just set it to -1 to begin with?
