It's a good enough idea in principle... but then where do we draw the line, as everybody has issues with some merchant or other, be it cancelations, bad customer service, returns problems etc etc.

Not sure about the trading laws, could be a big issue....

I think the thing that bothers me most about Pixmania is they look like a UK site/supplier. There doesn't appear to be anything that tells you about the French connection. The contact section has no address so there's no way of telling its French. I just think its very misleading.

I had a bad experience with Pixmania, too. With me, they listed a product as in-stock, I bought it, and still hadn't received it two weeks later. After several emails, I was told that it was out of stock, and it took a further two weeks to get a refund out of them.

They're cheats. I wouldn't object to seeing a ban done on them - just because things are cheap, people don't deserve to be shafted.

ye this happened with me as well, kept delaying the delivery and then said there is no delivery 2 weeks later

As Pixmania is now part of DSG, should Currys, PC world and Dixons carry warnings too? i assume most stock would come from a central warehouse for goods ordered from any of these sites. but, i could be completely wrong.

no they bought pixmania but havent really changed the way it works. i also had bad experiance with them, bought an item which was instock rang after 4 days for the status was told we 'arrrrrrrr sir we dont have it instock when we do well call you' 5 days later no call fed up and canceled took 1 month for refund total waste of time and money on the damn calls.

i bought my gf a laptop from currys and it has a pixmania link on it. Pixmania even sell the same refurbished laptops. so it wouldnt make sense to distribute them from seperate warehouses.

I think they are hardly shafting people.

I've never had an order go right, they sent me a monitor instead of a scanner and didn't give me my money back for over 6 weeks. Then I bought a TV three years later thinking they may have improved. I'm still waiting for the missing power cable three weeks and three mails later.
Not sure I would use them again.
