Wouldnt be of much use to those of us who work and don't get online till the evening then though ! At least if we know in advance we can plan some online time during the day to take advantage of any deals

if someone knows in advance then they can hold off buying for a higher amount until then
more important is properly expiring and spamming deals which dont exist when they say they will
as long as its clearly stated when an offer is on there shouldn't be a problem

Another reason why pre-posting is better, as there is a lot of stuff that can be addressed prior to the deal being live.

Sorry, this suggestion doesn't fly.

I think pre-posting is fine.........however until there is proof of the deals it should be in Misc as a heads up/tip

Syzable

Yeah - I'd like to see sale notices posted as heads up in Misc - how can you vote on a thread unless you have details of price and availability?

This is why you get the naive voting sales notices hot - then whining that you should be able to retract heat............classic example is the Amazon Black Friday thread

I always thought heads up had to be posted in misc, well until the amazon black friday thread
Maybe we should all post deals for say 'Debenhams sale - Starts boxing day - no details' and see how hot they get as they are allowed now
