Yes.

Reason being I forgot to add about quidco to my deal I have just posted, and it would be nice to have the deal all as 1, instead of chunks of editing (You get what I mean :? )

and also by previewing, you can double check to see if your deal makes sense/anything missed out/pictures show up & to see if vouchers have actually attached to your post.

So a preview and a submit? I think forcing a preview may be annoying for some?

Not forcing a preview...giving you the option. Same as here http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e90/birdyboyuk/preview.gif

I'd like a preview button as well Mainly for layout etc. So people can see what things look like, if they have pasted in a big specification... or what the image will turn out like.

Agree.. pressing submit and finding obvious spelling mistakes or something wrong that you cant change is a bit odd...

Okay dokay - this list is getting a bit long but don't worry it's on there...

I know its on the list now anyway, But I also think its a great idea!

Me too

Now...about that seperate help thread.....:whistling: :giggle:

@Sigma - full of good ideas.....:? Nah!

I was just about to start a feedback thread for this very topic and did a quick search first. Anyway, realise I'm bumping a very old thread but since it's the same topic....

This is what I'd put.

Realise this may not be easy to implement (or just a rotten idea :)) but wondered if it had ever been suggested that when you have prepared your deal to post, you are given an option to "preview" it first? This would give people a chance to spot any glaring errors such as price/retailer omission and/or add links or photos to post 1 (since clickys can't be added to the OP)
Lots of deals go cold in the first few seconds if information has been left out and people may feel more confident to post? I'd like it anyway

Never thought of that karri, but yeah that's a fantastic idea. We can already preview our comments before posting, so why not our threads too.

Hopefully you'll get a reply, otherwise PM Neellaa as she's very helpful.

It could be another 6.5 years before someone posts about it again

I still agree to having a preview option when submitting a thread

Thanks (on both counts Transformers!) I'll give it a few days and do that

Yeah birdyyboy, we're either in the minority or both geniuses Had the idea and didn't want to pass it off as my own, when I saw you'd posted it (albeit almost 7 years ago X))

I think it's a good idea too to be honest. I can see why Admin possibly didn't implement it at the time as posting deals is based on the same premise as voting (i.e. posting deals is to be encouraged and made as easy as possible, so the less options the better) but I feel pretty confident posting deals and it's still an option I'd like to see and would definitely use.
I think as the site's got bigger, with more people posting it could work twofold. It may possibly cut down on errors and therefore Mod amendments required and also encourage more people to post deals as they'd feel more confident if they could see what their deal would look like before it went live. Deals can be a scary place!
I think it's important to make it an option though and not a required field, as with everything it wouldn't appeal to everyone. Just think (for me) it makes sense from a business and member point of view and obviously apart from the costs/time to implement it, can't really think of any possible negatives involved?
