I'm fairly sure (but it's a while ago so I could be wrong) I've 'abused' that system in the past on Sainsburys, without trying very hard to change any details, and the orders have come through. Most orders with Sainsburys I've had cancelled are cancelled because the local store didn't have stock of what I'd ordered.

If you want to be sure the order gets through you just make sure everything is different, including payment card and address. Plenty of people will get around it that way, and the 'profit protection team' would never know anything about it.

Hi I don't think that would be a cause for not allowing them to be shared here. It is the members decision ultimately how they wish to order and then up to Sainsbury's to deal with it in line with their own T&Cs.

I think the deals are kosher , similar to Waitrose ,Morrisons , Tesco etc - even Amazon to mention but a few .

Sadly members seem to think (in some cases rightly) they can create multiple email addresses . even home addresses to take advantage of the discounts offered . In a way its a "rope a dope" thing all retailers use and I'm not really fussed either way .

Lets face if you "fraudulently" use the new customer code you really expect it not to go through (if it does its a bonus!) . If you are a retailer and allow it through then fair enough . No cause for hand wringing either way .

What are these deals?

I suppose not everyone has an extra card and repeat addresses do flag up, so I guess for the extremely savvy it's not an issue. I'm maybe just one of the few who like to play by the rules?

Yeah I see what you mean, I just kind of that it was rather negative to the whole overall experience but most users would probably just chance their luck and have it cancelled and others who would rattle out 99 different emails to try and abuse the system!

I've done it multiple times with Tesco and no bother. Have only used Sainsbury's once because I didn't rate them at all! When they do substitutes they charge you for the more expensive items and then a week later you get an e voucher for the difference, which can only be used online
