If you read my post, you'll see my point - not about this not being good business, but about the fairness and consistency in the rules.

live by the sword die by the sword...

If you phone O2 they will tell you the following;

There are 4 types of "special / rare" numbers they fall into the following categories;

Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze

Platinum have an RRP of £1000+ VAT (Must be XXXXX followed by 6 of the same digit i.e. 111111 etc)

Gold £500 + VAT (Must be something like XXXXX 121212 or XXXXXX 100100 etc)

Silver £250 + VAT (XXXXX 100000 or XXXXX 002200 etc)

Bronze £100 + VAT (Any other number requested i.e. if your DOB is 121187 you can get XXXXX 121187 or if your phone number is XXXXX 326843 you can get the same final 6 digits for your mobile etc)

So no one is selling above the RRP on that thread

I love how mods have deleted any comments in that thread without even responding or explaining it.

Typical mod cowardice again.

ive asked mods questions here ive messeged them never got a reply am suprised how this forum works,
i know what you mean and how you feel like.Afterall i thought i was the only 1 here, any wellcome aboard

I seen people selling the free dvds from the daily mail. for £1 But yet i couldnt charge £1 for £5 or mor money off coupons/ clubcard extra points coupons. They like me said it was to cover p&p and their time.
The dvds were sold i wasnt allowed. I even messaged mods twice over dvds asking how that differ no reply.
That is why im spending more and more time on other forums that dont have these double standards

Original Poster

Diva, which other forums are there?

I've been banned so much for stuff that makes no sense or where the mods are so wrong, that I've lost count. There is no common sense used and I am getting sick of the way HUKD is run.

We don't have a problem with gold numbers atm as long as the seller is respecting the rules of the forum, and anyone listing extortionate prices will have their thread locked.

Original Poster

So why don't you have a problem with the gold numbers?

And then why do you have a problem with tesco vouchers?

We do have a problem with Tesco vouchers because they have a specific face value- people try to sell above this value because the vouchers are more valuable when used to buy deals. They're also non-transferable. Note the clubcard terms :

Vouchers can only be used once and can only be used by the person to … Vouchers can only be used once and can only be used by the person to whom they're issued.

Dude you got a problem?if so why not say it to whoevas thread it is instead of b itch ing abouts it.

cassidy, I have done, but those people are incapable of listening or common sense.

Tesco vouchers haven't this value - they're worth four times as much. It's the same as a sim card worth only £9.99.

Double standards again. Fantastic. Much like someone getting banned for not breaking a rule, but doing something a mod simply doesn't like - again has happened.

JB's answered you & explained the different situations to you AV1985. What more do you want? In your opinion the sim card isn't worth more than £9.99 but in actual fact, whether you like it or not, it is worth more than that. There are far more important things in life to get your knickers in a twist over

Id co-sign that.

Nope, not in my opinion. In the opinion of any store that sells sims, or indeed the getting of free O2 sims.

My knickers aren't in a twist, I'm just continually amazed at the double standards that run this place.

PM Diva1977, she will tell you another forum to spend your time on.

Original Poster

I have done, and am glad there are some people with common sense and morals around this place!

Maybe the mods could post a list to stop this type of confusion/annoyance?

That way everyone will know what is fine to sell over RRP and what's not.

I wasn't mocking, I was making a suggestion.

Original Poster

I was mocking, although I don't think you're allowed to say anything against a mod on these forums, else you'll get banned.

I'm actually shocked this thread is still open to be honest!

Maybe because we are all so used to you complaining about this site and mods.

So who decides what an extortionate price is? And how exactly will they decide this?

Original Poster

It's whatever mood the mods are in and whether or not they like the seller obviously.

And dmissy, maybe it'll finally be heard or the mods can stop doing stuff that makes people complain.

Someone has already posted what O2 charge for certain classes of numbers hence it seems reasonable to use that as a guide.

I'll quote myself

If you phone O2 they will tell you the following;

If you really dislike everything so much why bother posting here, I don't like Millwall so I don't go and see them play, I never got over my dislike of mushrooms from when I was a child do I don't use them in my cooking

You don't like the way the mods moderate the site yet instead of just logging out and walking away you carry on posting.

they are about right for o2, but different networks charge differently.

Original Poster

RedIron, you never have anything constructive to say, do you have nothing better to do than to follow my posts around?

You are a hypocrite mate. Sells a £99 refurb phone for £180 and yet whines about someone making a few quid on a gold number.
I think you should be banned, you are a troublemaker

Original Poster

You're missing the point Scribbles.

I don't have a problem with someone selling a gold number.

I just have a problem with it when other similar things are not allowed - the double standards.

The mods in this place make their own rules up.

And I probably will get banned for that, just because the mods feel like it - there's never an iron clad reason.

If you get banned it will be because you are more hassle than you are worth and you are always breaking the rules.

AV1985 you've already been told that you CAN'T sell the Tesco vouchers because they are NON TRANSFERABLE.

So what other items do you have an issue with?

Actually he does have something constructive to say, it's just you don't want to hear it. Just because you cannot make the differentiation between items which appear similar to you doesn't mean there is no difference.

True although I don't think any of the networks charge as low as ten pounds which is what the original poster seems to put the limit as for a simcard.

Vodafone are £50/£100/£250/£1000 for bronze/silver/gold/platinum:
