yes they can be, but hardly worth getting annoyed about or reporting really, but if reported i believe they do receive infractions

if they actually agree a sale and then ignore you and , you've made reasonable attempts and left it a reasonable amount of time (ie you know they been on) You CAN neg them. Had this happen a while back so after a week of my PM's ignored and the buyer being on regularly i asked the mods and they said neg them

my personal opinion is that they should be BANNED,not suspended-if they agree a deal they should stick to it-my father always taught me that a mans word is his bond-thats a rule Ive always lived by and taught my kids the same.

I agree with the ones that gave made a deal, then ignore you, we all understand that not everyone can be online every day, but if those people know they are not likely to be on for days, or even a week, they should tell the seller and not enter into any deal, maybe even avoid the FS forum till they know they can be more contactable.

The other note is that there are sooooo many people that half enter a deal, to give them time to look around, then always back out when they find it cheaper, meaning the sellers other potential buyers are long gone and passes up the item as they thought there may have been a deal in place. This is old as well as new users and should recieve infractions/warnings for constantly backing out of deals.

Bans probably abit harsh if they continue to do so, then maybe. But atleast suspension from the trading section.

If you feel someone has breached the forum rules, please report the individual post http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/images/custom_buttons/report.gif, explaining the situation, and mods will make a decision on the case. Thanks.

yes I have used the report button and guess what .. the mods did nothing .. another waste of time

I'm a new member, and put a wanted post for a mobile. I found one on another thread, and I send a PM to the seller and bought it straight away through paypal. I expired my wanted thread. I received two warning from the mod.

I went through the rules, but they are not very clear, and there should be one thread with the mistakes that people make most.

Wondering whether this might be timewasting.

Thanks for that, have reported a few occurances now, but us normal folk who use the forum don't get to see the outcome, sometimes (not all) when a decision is made on the reported post, the mod will post in the thread stating they can't do this, infraction issued or similar, this should be the case everytime, make it public!

Valid and good point..... But don't expect it to happen.

Just saw emmajk42's new user thread: ]http//ww…ne/.

Would it be OK if I made a thread with common mistakes?

Marz,

Did you leave appropriate feedback to reflect this - of course you know what happens as soon as you do

Emmajk42,

Retaliatory negs do happen, even when a seller pulls out without excuse - as happened in my thread. 5 Days of ignoring PM's despite being on many times within the timescale mentioned. I end up with a neg, not a big deal - but it pee's me right off when I trade according to rules and handed over full details inc name, address,
landline, etc.

Cheers:thumbsup:

I wouldn't bother - it's important that anyone trading on the FS/FT forum reads all the rules and follows the advice given at the top of each thread.

Which in turn makes the feedback a bit of a hit or miss. I don't give in to this sort of 'blackmail' - better off the rest knowing than just me trying to protect my trading rep. However it's a good point, but I can't see the mods allowing their time to be consumed by what appears to be a private agreement.
