What do you mean by viewing options,is it the customise deals and alerts on the right hand side?

Or do you mean "tools"

I always seem to have trouble not seeing some deals,i've posted about it before.

mine keeps jumping to show online deals only too, in tools

Well the bug with excluding specific deals affecting fs threads is the reason behind starting up Fo.lk, it eliminates that kind of problem.

By "jumping" sassie, do you mean it's not sticking to the selection you pick?

It seems to have an effect in all the sub forums though, not only FS/FT... there is a thread here in Feedback "fo.lk message system", that isn't shown if you select to view online deals only - what is different about that thread? What is the reason that one isn't shown?

When you create a thread, especially in FS/FT, you are hoping for maximum exposure - I'm interested to know what makes a thread come under the Online Deals section, even though it's nothing to do with a deal at all....

The thread that I created was one of these.

No response? :-( Just 'a bug'?

There is a lot of functionality on the site that is meant to deal with deal specific things. The problem we were facing was we had a very popular fs/ft section, and we wanted to make it more usable for users. But there are things that we needed to add that conflicts with deal functionality, and deal functionality that conflicts with fs/ft threads. Of course we can just keep adding more and more options to turn things off for when users are in different situations, but we found all the options were getting really confusing for users. This is an example of that. I recommend that you do use folk for browsing fsft threads, it should be overall a better experience for you, and if it is not, we are very much open to suggestions.

I can use fo.lk for FS/FT (if I have to)... but as stated above, it is affected in other sub forums, even here in Feedback - some threads are being recognised as offlline and others not.

Is there any way that we, when creating threads, can ensure it is not going to be recognised as an offline deal, so we can ensure that people with Online Only selected will still be able to see it?
