It's not a bug to completely wipe all of the post you've just written up because you decided it'd fit better in a different category?
I realise it's a relatively minor thing, but it's still an annoyance, and IMO it might as well add the queue of "bugs" to be dealt with.

No

Just make sure you select the correct form in the first place solves the problem easy.

Deal Requests/Misc. can be similar depending on if you're asking for advice on a specific product, or looking for someone to provide product suggestions.

Deals/Misc. when posting heads up on sales and deciding whether you can be bothered to list examples.

Deals/Freebies when posting something free then realising it has a postage charge.

And some people could be confused whether to post about HUKD competitions in either Competitions/Feedback (personally i reckon that's feedback, but either way there could be confusion)

Sometimes the type of post you're making changes half way through writing it, and therefore justifies a change in category.

I dunno, it's a relatively minor thing that i was just chucking out there because i found it annoying to have my post eaten just because i changed my mind on the most appropriate category for a post.

I won't exactly lose sleep if this isn't implemented, and i've only encountered it twice whilst using this site, but i imagine it's something other people have encountered too that could be a source of frustration.

Thought it was worth mentioning incase the fix is literally a line of code, didn't think it would cause a debate.

What sort of posts are you posting Eldini?

I gave examples in the first half of my previous post...?
Either way it's pretty pointless to debate this i think, it'll either be fixed or it won't be, etc.

Okay I didn't think they made sense.

"Deals/Freebies when posting something free then realising it has a postage charge."

Surely you would check before posting.

The examples just seem to be based on choices that could be made before posting.

While this is not technically a bug, as we originally planned to have the form work that way, we will be making the form retain any information that is the same between deal categories when the category is changed. For now though any users having issues with the different categories will have to be sure that they are on the correct tab before they start entering information for a deal submission.

You could copy what you've written then paste it again when you've done your changes.
That's what I do as I post a lot from my iPod touch and I hate to write everything twice :-)

We will be looking into seeing how this type of feature would work. Thank you for the suggestion.
