use the direct link option it wont allow [img] files

You can't put images in the opening post.
Create your post without images and then add them to post #2.
Have your images ready 'cos some peeps on here love to post a comment up before you get the photos posted.

So, create your opening post.
Quickly type in "reserved for photos" , or similar into post #2.
You then have time to add your photos at your leisure by editing post #2.

they are on about the little image that appears on the OP me thinks

You can't embed images in the OP using [ img ] tags. This, for some reason, breaks the thread and it has to be deleted/reposted.

If you use the fo.lk submission it has a gallery upload where you can upload pics directly and have them in your first post. You can use your hukd username to log on to fo.lk and the posts are replicated on both hukd fsft and fo.lk

How about adding that feature to HUKD?

Why would they add it to something that is being made redundant by them trying to push fo.lk which is designed to overtake FS/FT?

Fair enough. I always assumed Fo.lk was more of a supplement rather than a replacement. Thanks for clarifying
