They did this on pedlar, I liked it.

I was thinking of a notification rather than an email. But yes good point. Wondering how many people use retailers name as their username? I mean if you're meant to be tagged, then it shouldn't be doing anything with retailers as far as someone is putting a # before the exact username of yours, right?

It might be a good update to the site. One or two might abuse it and mention people just to get their deals voted up.

​I've seen the odd name like ASDADeals or something random like that. none come to mind exactly.. think the @username would be a good feature.. as @oUkTuRkEyIII said has been used by other sites.. guess the issue would arrise when comical/adult items are posted..
Though that could be editable by tick box in your profile to enable tagging or not
