I would reckon at less than half the asking that would be lowballing yes.

Maybe unless the seller was asking for to much in the first place.

There's no set ratio.

If you gave a genuine varifiable reason for your extremely low offer, you are unlikely to be warned for it.

If one member once sold the same item for £40, but they regularly fetch £80, then I would expect it would be classed as low-balling.

less than 50% without any justification is about where it normally kicks in,but nothing is set in stone

Sorry if this is considered self promoting.

It was regarding that above thread.

I realise that £90 is maybe a little too much. (wasn't sure how much to set it for).

I also realise that it can be got for £80 in tesco if you are EXTREMELY lucky.

An offer of £40 was stupidly low to me though.

It was low balling, however you should have ignored it in thread and reported the post. Now your thread should be closed because of several 'bumps by proxy'

I did report it but nothing was done about it (yet).

The thread can be closed anyway. Im not going to get any serious buyers after that.

I also guess it will need to be closed due to 'advertising' it in here.

Im just going to report them all and take them all as lessons learnt lol.

£40 is taking the **** but £90 is a bit to much really when the tesco deal was so hot and all could see hotukdeals.com/ite…-80

Thats a far bigger issue than the question from the OP tbh.

post singular actually. I wasnt gloating at all

Low balling is a pap rule, as Guv's said just ignore.

People over value stuff on here just as much as people knock them down. If the OP wants to sell at the offer then they can no one is forcing them. Deals change all the time, for example Uncharted 2 weeks after release play had it at £17.99, I myself didn't buy it but then noticed loads of people selling it for various prices. I would offer lower then £17.99 for it knowing past values/prices for the game. Sorry but that's not low balling that's having a bit of knowledge of past prices, and paying what 'I' want to value you it at. No reasoning should be needed but if the Mods had to get involved I would give them above for the item mentioned.

I did report the low baller, but once i was made aware that the previous attempt of a sale was left open i reported both threads to get locked. Strangely enough only the newest sale was locked. I also got a suspension for my troubles.

I understand, £90 was just a rough estimate, fully expecting to get bartered with anyway. But offering £40 was just offensive.

Go into a second hand shop and see what they offer. you have a right to say no to a low offer. This forum is ridiculous with all the moaning and wining.

People do go nuts with low prices
i try to keep them fair

i got a e74 console here the other week
that was £35 no hd no joystick no psu no vid cables

its worth £90 if you can find the right buyer
it will only get around £70 here

might be better off splitting

£20 hd
£12 psu
£14 Joystick
£4 Vid Cable
£50 Xbox

they will quite happily pay that here
