I don't think that they are covered in the rules.

(10) You must NOT list items for sale at higher than the recommended … (10) You must NOT list items for sale at higher than the recommended retail price. The marker of RRP will be determined by cross indexing with Amazon or other well known retailer. Profiteering is NOT permitted from items previously found at a lower price in the 'Deals' or ANY forum here.

You should just report the threads in question.

.... & yet the selling of the 'sack boy' free with the game little big planet was allowed at £30 a time?

the rule quoted above doesn't really apply to that though - although I agree £30 for something which was free is outrageous, more fool the buyer IMO

So why wouldn't it apply to anything else being sold above the RRP? (More … So why wouldn't it apply to anything else being sold above the RRP? (More fool the buyer!)

it should apply to both, both are profiteering, its just the way the rule is written it doesn't prohibit the sale of freebies.

on the flip-side, what about a collection of classic Matchbox cars in mint condition - RRP would be about 2 shillings, actual value would be much higher... does that mean they can't be sold?

Another part of the rule does mention freebies items in the FS/T Forum :

The marker of RRP will be determined by cross indexing with Amazon or other well known retailer. Profiteering is NOT permitted from items previously found at a lower price in the 'Deals' or ANY forum here.* Vouchers available as non transferable or with next to no resale value, such as 0.001p for example and generally available free items etc. must NOT be offered for sale or trade.

If you do have any suggestions though they can be passed on as the rules are regularly reviewed & a lot of that is due to member Feedback, thanks

I do remember a thread where Admin? wrote that there were exceptions to the RRP rule.
this would cover the "Matchbox" cars, and the sackboy figures I believe.

The rules in the "For Sale/Trade" forum are already becoming overly aggressive, I wouldn't like to see more.

These are not freely available from Microsoft are they?

I thought that you had to have a specific console to get one.

I believe "Freely available" on HUKD means that "Anyone" can get one free.
If Microsoft happily send them to anyone that enquires, whether they have a 360 or not, then this would rule it out of being sold on here.

I doubt that this is the case.

Is this the same thing:

I do not understand Xbox 360 stuff, so not sure if this is the reason why this thread has been expired by members.
