Why the disrespect?

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking this but why is it when some people post deals they're down voted instantly upon approval.

Surely if those who approve deals don't think it is infact a deal or if its a duplicate (despite search only showing expired deals) then why not just decline the deal and state a reason why?

If you do not want people to post their findings then why allow it?
